This time round, it's the Boston Boom-Bringer misellaneous item for the Scout. The unique thing about this item is that it has four different audio clips, each having a chance to play during a taunt. The Boston Boom-Bringer is yet another item that was contributed by the Team Fortress 2 community via the Steam Workshop, much like other user created items such as the Lucky Shot, and Alladin's Private Reserve.
I like how Valve is letting Team Fortress 2 allow its community to contribute to the game itself. It's pretty awesome to be able to design an equipment or item that has a chance to be added into your favourite game. The only thing I don't like about it is the prices. I know these items can be obtained without spending a single cent, but still, pricing a misellaneous slot item at $9.99 seems pretty ridiculous to me.
Team Fortress 2 won't be getting any money from me this way, but if you're feeling generous, you can buy the Boston Boom-Bringer here.

ReplyDeleteAlmost makes me want to start playing TF2 again but i don't know if i can put as much as time into it as i once did .
ReplyDeleteDo it! Doesn't hurt to go back and play once in a while.
Deletein this particular case I'd say it's a little overpriced
ReplyDeleteespecially considering some of the entire games I can get for that same money
other than that though I agree with the above
Yeah I think these items are catered for people who have lots of money to spare.
DeleteNever actually played TF2, seems pretty popular though.
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely try it. It's free and it's fun!

DeleteGreat blog! Following you now!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI'm not too familiar with the game, but that's pretty awesome how they let the play contribute to the mechanics!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely try it out sometime, it's really fun!
DeleteIt is one good way to pay the player base back, but I'm sure there is more to be done in the way of schmoozing the buyers.
ReplyDeleteDamn, that is way too much for such an item...
