The rumors of an Elder Scrolls MMO have been circulating for quite a while, but it has been revealed by Tom's Guide that Bethesda will be officially announcing Elder Scrolls Online in May 2012. The game is supposedly set at a full millennium before Skyrim, which is at least a few hundred years before any of the Elder Scrolls Series. Little is known about the MMO yet, but we do know that there will be three factions, each represented by either a dragon, a lion, or a bird. More information should be made known in the near future.
Elder Scrolls MMO? I'm sold, as long as they don't screw things up. Just imagine, thousands of players in town screaming "Fus Ro Dah", that would be quite the sight. This is yet another game I'm looking forward to in 2012, and I just hope that Bethesda will deliver.

Oh man, this makes me super excited! Very promising looking game!
ReplyDeleteI'm divided by how much I would love that game and how little a life I'd know I'd have because of it
ReplyDeleteguess we'll just see
I love everything epic
ReplyDeleteI'd laugh if an NPC repeats the arrow line word for word.
ReplyDeleteI really hope this won't be subscription based, but more like buying some items with real money. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI think you can typically count on Bethesda. To screw something up, sadly. But it is a game I'm now officially looking forward to.
ReplyDeleteit only makes sense that they would branch into mmo territory.
ReplyDeleteIf it turns out to be a WoW clone, I'm out.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a cool concept, but if it is like WoW, it isn't worth it. They need some fresh and new ideas.
ReplyDeletelooks nice game
ReplyDeleteit would be amazing to play such an open game as an mmo, the problem is finding a balance that keep people playing but still gives the open ended feeling... not to mention games with a pay to play model are slowly disappearing and I can't see how a micro-transaction model could work for the elder scrolls... they would almost certainly have to make it free to play
ReplyDeletenice review, look interesting
ReplyDeleteElder scrolls with co-op would be glorious, but releasing a regular MMO is a stupid idea. It will take the soul of TES away :(.
ReplyDeleteI was not a big fan of oblivion, but I got really interested in skyrim, so I would love to play an elder scrolls mmo, that would be epic..
